Rubis: Q1 sales down 4%

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday evening, the infrastructure for energy storage and distribution group Rubis reported Q1 2019 consolidated sales of 1.
163 billion euros, down 4% y-o-y.

In detail, Rubis Énergie recorded sales that are up 3% at 824 million euros, for volumes that are down 3%. Ruby Support and Services, including la SARA (West Indies refinery) and all shipping and trading-supply businesses, generated sales of 264 million euros with stable volumes (+2%) with a comparable consolidation scope. Finally, sales of Rubis Terminal (integrating 100% of the Antwerp site) returned to growth (+1%), after four consecutive quarters of falls.

"The sharp regression in petroleum products prices compared to the previous six months made for a favourable unit margin configuration that offset the impact of the decline in volumes in terms of overall margin," the group said.
