CGG: 3D seismic reprocessing project in Brazil

(CercleFinance.com) - CGG announces the start of a new 3D seismic reprocessing project in the Foz do Amazonas Basin in Brazil's equatorial margin, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2023, with first images in June.


The project will merge over 7,700 km2 of existing public 3D seismic data in the Foz do Amazonas basin. Recent successes along the conjugate margin in West Africa have rekindled interest in this region.

The group said that this project will leverage its extensive knowledge of the equatorial margin and extend its 3D data library offshore Brazil, which is already the most comprehensive in the industry.

The share is up about 2.5% in early trading today on this news.
