CGG: starts study off Shetland Isles
(CercleFinance.com) - CGG has announced the start of a high-density multi-client Marine study with a high azimutal coverage in the West Shetland basin off the Scottish coast, a 3600 km2 study prepared in accordance with major international clients.
It aims to provide high-resolution seismic data to the north-western Shetland Island on the northern part of the Rona ridge, a high- potential area which is currently underexplored. Preliminary data will be available from the first quarter of 2019.
Seismic data will be treated at a depth using the CGG's very broad band frequency technology, including the advanced deblending and FWI (Full-Waveform Inversion). The final data will be available in mid-2019.
