Worldline: towards acquisition in Scandinavia

(CercleFinance.com) - On publishing its H1 results, Worldline has announced the signature of an agreement to acquire 100% of Handelsbanken's card acquiring activities in the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark).


In Scandinavia Handelsbanken Card Acquiring represents over 550,000 transactions acquired per year, a payment volume of approximately 20 billion euros, annual revenues of approximately 35 million euros and an OMDA margin of over 30%.

An estimated cash outflow of approximately 195 million euros is expected at closing, based on an EV/OMDA multiple of approximately 15x. Completion is expected by the end of 2021, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions precedent.
