Neoen: start-up of largest wind farm in Finland
(CercleFinance.com) - Energy production at the Mutkalampi wind farm, the largest in Finland, has now started, the project partners officially announced on Thursday.
The consortium made up of Heineken, Philips, Signify and Nobian, who have agreed to buy the majority of the electricity produced by the site, welcomed the commissioning on Thursday.
The four groups have signed 10-year power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Neoen, the park operator, for a total of 330 MW per year, equivalent to the consumption of 40,000 homes.
With a capacity of 404 MW, Mutkalampi is expected to generate almost 2% of Finland's annual electricity production.
