Suez: 15 ME contract with Douaisis Agglo

(CercleFinance.com) - Douaisis Agglo announces that as of January 16, 2025, the management of drinking water and wastewater services will be entrusted to Suez for a period of 7 years under the brand name 'L'eau du Douaisis'.


The contract, worth 15 million euros a year, covers 8 communes for drinking water and 26 for wastewater treatment. A pilot project in Férin will use innovative technology to reduce water consumption by 650,000 m³ per year.

Starting in 2025, connected meters will be deployed in 33,000 homes to reduce consumption by 5% by 2032.

Awareness-raising campaigns and local service will also be stepped up, notably through a unique partnership with La Poste.
