Suez: Philippe Varin to be non-executive Chairman

(CercleFinance.com) - Suez announces that its board of directors has unanimously decided to submit Mr.
Philippe Varin's nomination as Chairman to the vote of the Shareholders Annual General Meeting on 12 May.

He would then replace Jean-Louis Chaussade whose mandate will finish at the end of the AGM. The board will submit an amendment to the articles of association to enable Philippe Varin to exercise his functions as chairman for the duration of his term as director.

Suez CEO Bertrand Camus said, "His human qualities, his industry and global experience will be a major advantage in the implementation of our strategic plan, Shaping SUEZ 2030. I am looking forward to building a team with him."
