Getlink: shuttle traffic falls in July
(CercleFinance.com) - Channel Tunnel operator Getlink reports that its Shuttle Freight carried 97,577 trucks in July, down 16% y-o-y, against a backdrop of slowing household consumption in the UK.
Meanwhile, Le Shuttle carried 263,040 passenger cars last month, down 3% on July 2022, which the company said was affected by urban riots in early July in France. Since 1 January, over 722,000 trucks (-18% y-o-y) and almost 1.3 million passenger cars (+11% y-o-y) have crossed the Channel on Eurotunnel shuttles. Copyright (c) 2023 CercleFinance.com.
