Novacyt: new product approved in UK

(CercleFinance.com) - Novacyt's shares were in demand on the Paris stock exchange on Wednesday morning after the UK authorities gave the green light to a new test developed by the clinical diagnostics specialist.


Just before 10am, the share was up about 7% in heavy volumes that were already almost double their daily average for the last four sessions. At the same time, the CAC Mid & Small index was up just 0.2%.

The Franco-British company announced this morning that its PROmate COVID-19 1Gene test.

The test, designed to detect a SARS-CoV-2 target within the ORF1ab gene, is expected to eliminate the need for complex manual or automated extraction solutions to improve laboratory workflow and reduce costs.
