ADP: go-ahead for acquisition of Almaty Airport
(CercleFinance.com) - The ADP Group announces that the consortium formed by TAV Airports (in which it holds 46.
12% of the capital) and VPE Capital, signed an agreement on 7 May to buy Almaty airport and related activities for a value of 415 million dollars.
TAV Airports' stake in the consortium will not be less than 75% and the transfer of shares will take place after the transaction is closed, which is expected to occur in the coming months, after completion of the necessary legal procedures.
Almaty airport, which is in the economic capital of Kazakhstan, is the largest airport in Central Asia: around 6.4 million passengers used the airport in 2019, of which just under half were on international routes.
