Arkema: to expand capacities of Forane 1233ZD

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema announces the successful start-up of its partner Aofan's 1233ZD production unit in China, as well as the beginning of the construction phase of the new 1233ZD line at its Calvert City plant in Kentucky.


These units will increase the global availability of Forane 1233ZD, a liquid blowing agent that is primarily used in closed cell polyurethane foams for building insulation and cold chain applications, over the next 18 months.

Forane 1233ZD is part of a new generation of zero or low-emission fluorinated specialties aligned with Arkema's sustainable development strategy to capture the opportunities of global megatrends.
