Arkema: teams up with Nutrien in the US

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema announces an innovative and long-term partnership with the agrochemicals group Nutrien, which will supply its hydrofluoric acid needs for its Calvert City site in the American State of Kentucky.


About half of this raw material will be used to produce high value-added fluorinated polymers and derivatives, and the other half to produce fluorinated gases with low GWP (global warming potential).

This agreement comes with a 150 million dollar investment by Arkema in a 40,000 tonne/year hydrofluoric acid production plant at Nutrien's Aurora (North Carolina) site, which is set to be commissioned in the first half of 2022.
