EDF: ratings placed under negative review at Moody's

(CercleFinance.com) - Moody's Investor Services has announced that it has placed under review, with a potential future downgrade on the cards, EDF's "A3" senior unsecured rating, as well as the "Baa3" rating of its junior perpetual subordinated bonds, while by confirming its "Prime-2" short-term rating.


The rating agency justifies this decision by "the January 13 announcement by the Government of France (Aa2 stable) of measures to limit the increase in electricity tariffs for 2022 and EDF's reduction of its nuclear output estimate for the year, announced on the same date".
