EDF: investment in GIBB Power for Africa

(CercleFinance.com) - EDF and GIBB, a major player in the engineering sector in Africa, have signed agreements for EDF's investment in GIBB Power, a Gibb Engineering and Architecture engineering company that is specialised in energy.


The company GIBB Power (70% owned by GIBB and 30% by EDF) wishes to become a benchmark engineering platform, specialising in supporting energy projects that meet the challenges of energy transition in Africa.

EDF Group and GIBB have decided to cooperate in several fields of engineering - both for public and private players: thermal engineering, hydraulics, electrical transmission and distribution networks, along with solar and wind power.
