Alstom: E250m contract with Newark Liberty Airport

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has signed a contract with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Newark Liberty International Airport to provide operation and maintenance services for the airport's Innovia monorail, known as AirTrain Newark, for the next seven years.


The contract is worth approximately E250m and includes an option for an additional year.

Alstom will be responsible for the continuous operation and dispatching of the trains, maintenance of the fleet, station doors, guideways, power distribution system, wash stations, signal system and facilities.

The fleet consists of 15 Innovia monorails, each with six carriages, serving six stations, including the new Terminal A, on nearly five kilometres of elevated track.
