Alstom: commissions rail line in Egypt

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has announced the commissioning of the Samalut sector of the Beni Suef-Assiut railway line in Egypt.


The group has successfully installed and commissioned its SIL 4 electronic interlocking and signalling system. Samalut is the 8th section of the Beni Suef-Assiut line to be commissioned.

In all, 110 km of line have been commissioned, with 8 stations, 37 level crossings and 174 signal boxes.
