Alstom: environmental strategy approved by ISBT

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announced on Thursday that its emissions reduction targets have been as "consistent with levels required to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement" and approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).


"This external validation of our targets demonstrates our strong and sustained commitment when it comes to energy and climate long-term challenges,” said Cecile Texier, Alstom Vice President of Sustainability & CSR.

Alstom is committed to reducing absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions by 25% between 2019 and 2025, and those in scope 3 (related to the use of sold products from rolling stock), by 35% per passenger-km between 2019 and 2030.
