Alstom: Hesop introduced for Milan metro.

(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has put into service the first 1,500V Hesop substation on the yellow line of the Milan Metro.


This 1,500 V Hesop and 4 MW unit will enable the operator of the Milan underground ATM (Azienda Trasporti Milanesi) to optimise the use of energy and better control tunnel temperatures.

"This is the second Hesop in commercial operation on a subway line, the first was the Hesop 600V 1MW installed for the London Underground, in operation since March 2015," the group said.
