Engie: partners with Greater Springfield, Australia

(CercleFinance.com) - Engie announces signing with Springfield City Group, the master planner behind the emerging city of Greater Springfield, a major 50-year strategic agreement to make it one of Australia's first zero net-energy cities.


Investments will be planned in renewable energy generation and storage infrastructure, district energy schemes, green mobility solutions, digital technology, energy efficiency initiatives.

The creation of a research and innovation centre is also planned. The Zero Net Energy Vision for Greater Springfield means that by 2038, the partnership's vision is that the six suburbs that make up the Greater Springfield community are intended to be generating more energy than they consume.
