Orpea: Q1 revenues up 4.7%

(CercleFinance.com) - Rest home operator Orpea has announced Q1 2021 revenues of 1.
02 billion euros, up 4.7% y-o-y.

In particular business was driven by solid sales growth in France/Benelex (+9.2%), ahead of Central Europe (+2.5%). However, sales fell slightly in Eastern Europe (-0.4%), and were down more sharply in the Iberian Peninsula and Latam (-24.3%) and, to a lesser extent, in Other countries (-12.5%).

Over the first three months of the year, the Group "opened" over 500 beds, from 5 new buildings and extensions, in accordance with its opening plan.

After the solid start to the year, Orpea says that it is aiming to post FY 2021 sales growth of at least 6%.
