Orange: develops services with SES in Africa

(CercleFinance.com) - Orange will be the first operator to adopt O3b mPOWER, the next generation medium-earth orbit (MEO) satellite communication system from SES.


This system will enable it to develop its range of services for people and companies in Africa, starting with the Central African Republic.

When operational in 2022, O3b mPOWER will provide multi-terabit speeds to drive digital transformation and Cloud adoption worldwide, the group said.

With O3b mPOWER, Orange will significantly increase its low latency MEO capabilities to support the growth in bandwidth demand.
