BNP Paribas: H1 net income up 13% at E5,285m

(CercleFinance.com) - Net banking income came in at 12,781 million euros in Q2 2022, up 8.
5% y-o-y.

Net income, group share amounted to 3,177 million euros in Q2 2022, up 9.1% y-o-y. Excluding extraordinary items, it was 3,258 million euros, up 18.5%.

Over H1 as a whole, at 25,999 million euros net banking income increased 10.1% relative to H1 2021.

Net income, group share came in at 5,285 million euros, up 13.0% y-o-y. Excluding extraordinary items, it was 5,409 million euros, up 26.4%.

The bank's common equity Tier 1 ratio stood at 12.2% at 30 June 2022, down 20 basis points compared to 31 March 2022.

These figures appear to be warmly welcomed by investors, with the share up over 3.5% in early trading in Paris.
