Société Générale: EU approves project with Hyundai

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has announced the approval of a joint venture between Société Générale and Hyundai Motor Company.


The joint venture, which is based in France, will be active in the provision of automotive financing solutions, such as loans and leasing, and related services, such as insurance distribution.

The Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would not raise competition concerns given its limited impact on the market structure.

The transaction was examined under the simplified merger control procedure.
