Société Générale: about to sell Lyxor's activities

(CercleFinance.com) - Societe Generale says its board of directors has approved entering into exclusive negotiations with Amundi with a view to selling Lyxor's asset management activities, a transaction that would complete its refocusing program.


The proposed sale would cover Lyxor's passive (ETFs) and active (including alternative) management activities for institutional clients. The scope would include the sales and support functions dedicated to these activities.

The sale, which is expected to be completed by February 2022 at the latest, would be at a price of 825 million euros. The capital gain on the sale, net of tax, which would be recognised on the deal's completion, would be approximately 430 million euros.
