Vivendi: Oddo still a buyer

(CercleFinance.com) - Vivendi published yesterday announced that it will file its proposed tender offer for Lagardère by February 2022 following the completion of the Amber Capital buyout agreement (effective 15/12).


Oddo says that this acquisition concerns 17% of the capital and that as a result Vivendi will cross the threshold of 30% of the group's capital and would therefore have to launch a tender offer. Note that Vivendi has said that it does not intend to launch a takeover bid, which means that the share should remain listed.

Oddo believes that the consolidation of Lagardère should only take place after the transaction has been completed and regulatory approvals have been obtained.
