Casino: studies fundraising for two subsidiaries

(CercleFinance.com) - French food retailer Casino has announced that it has "launched preparatory works for potential additional capital increases for GreenYellow and Cdiscount to enable them to accelerate their growth plans".


This fundraising, which could take the form of market transactions, could also be accompanied by secondary placements of securities held by Casino, while maintaining control of these strategic subsidiaries.

Casino's board of directors, which met on Monday to examine the strategic options concerning these subsidiaries, "noted the excellent operational performances of both companies" and "confirmed the strategic role of both subsidiaries in the Group's profitable growth plan".
