Casino: new asset arbitrages validated in France

(CercleFinance.com) - As part of the preparation of its strategic plan for 2022, Casino announces that its board of directors has validated new asset arbitrages in France, for a target amount of two billion euros by the end of the first quarter of 2021.


In France, Casino plans to increase its positioning in certain formats (e-commerce, premium and proximity) and promising geographies, as well as new high-growth businesses (energy, data and advertising, data centers) and is prioritising the generation of recurrent cash flow.

"This process completes the transformation of the business model that has been started for several years. The Group will thus have, in France, a set of activities adapted to the new needs of consumers and benefiting from synergies accentuated by the consistency of their positioning," it said.
