Vinci: Commission authorises joint acquisition of SMTPC

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of Société Marseillaise du Tunnel Prado-Carénage (SMTPC) by Vinci Concessions and Eiffage.


SMTPC manages the Prado Carénage tunnel concession in Marseille (France) and, as a subcontractor, operates and maintains the Prado Sud tunnel in Marseille.

The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns given its limited impact on the structure of the markets concerned.

Vinci shares are currently up about 1%, while Eiffage is up about 0.5%.
