Vinci: Moody's maintains rating, stable outlook

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Moody's maintained the "A3" credit rating assigned to Vinci, with the agency also sticking to a "stable" outlook.


The rating agency's decision comes two weeks after the French construction and concession group announced that it had acquired ACS' energy activities.

It believes that this transaction does not constitute an event that is likely to alter Vinci's credit quality.

It assumes that the acquisition will be primarily funded by cash, and therefore should have only a limited effect on debt and consolidated financial parameters, Moody's notes.

The rating agency adds that the transaction should also enable Vinci to diversify its geographic profile by making it less dependent on France.
