Vinci: contract for Ottowa railway

(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci today says that the City of Ottawa has selected the East-West Connectors consortium, which is led by Kiewit (60%) and Vinci (40%) for extension works to the Confederation Line, one of the two lines of Phase 2 of the Ottawa O-Train light rail network.


The 1.7 billion euro contract covers the design, construction and financing of 27.5 kilometres of infrastructure to extend the Confederation line to the west and the east.

The O-Train will cover approximately 64 kilometres and will have 41 stations at the inauguration of Phase 2 in 2025. It will provide a fast and reliable rail service network to nearly 80% of the residents of Canada's capital,city.
