Vinci: contract for a step in Morocco

(CercleFinance.com) - Vinci Construction, a representative of a consortium that also includes the electro-mechanic group Andritz Hydro, has announced that it has been awarded the contract to build Abdelmoumen's pumped energy transfer station (STEP) which is 70 km from Agadir in Morocco.


The 284 million euro hydropower project is part of Morocco's renewable energy plan. This 48-month project will employ 840 people, 780 of whom will be recruited locally.

The contract for this turnkey station includes the execution studies, civil engineering works, the supply of transfer materials and equipment, the assembly, testing and the final commissioning of the station.
