Unibail-Rodamco: takeover of Westfield authorised

(CercleFinance.com) - Unibail-Rodamco has received confirmation that the Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia (Australian Minister of Budget) has not expressed any objection about Unibail-Rodamco's offer to acquire Westfield.


Unibail-Rodamco has obtained confirmation that the new group will be eligible for listing on the CAC and AEX indices from Euronext's independent Scientific Council.

The deal was unanimously recommended by Westfield's Board of Directors, as well as by Unibail-Rodamco's Board of Directors and Supervisory Board. It remains subject to approval by Unibail-Rodamco and Westfield shareholders, as well as the satisfaction of the other usual conditions that are described in the Implementation Agreement, dated 12 December 2017.
