Plastic Omnium: Q1 economic sales up 20%

(CercleFinance.com) - Plastic Omnium has announced economic sales (consolidated sales and turnover from joint ventures up to the group's percentage stake) of 2,236 million euros for the first quarter of 2019, up 20%.


At constant consolidation scope and exchange rates, the automotive
supplier's sales were virtually flat (-0.3%), outperforming global automobile production, which itself fell by 6.8%, by 6.5 points.

The group now expects global automobile production to fall by about 5%
throughout 2019, although has confirmed that its businesses will
outperform the market by about five points.
