Veolia: launches capital increase

(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia announces the launch of a cash capital increase, maintaining shareholders' preferential subscription rights, of approximately 2.
5 million euros. The product of this transaction will be used to partly finance the acquisition of Suez.

This fund raising will ensue in the issuance of 110,396,796 new shares at a price of 22.70 euros per share. Every shareholder will receive a preferential subscription right per share held and 21 preferential subscription rights will make for an irreducible subscription to four new shares.

The period for subscription to new shares will be open from 21 September to 1 October inclusive. The settlement, delivery and admission to trading on Euronext Paris of the new shares is anticipated for 8 October.
