Veolia: wins waste treatment contract in Bordeaux

(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia has signed a contract for household and assimilated waste recovery and treatment with Bordeaux Métropole.


Veolia will be responsible for treating the waste on behalf of Bordeaux Métropole and making investments in the Bègles and Cenon recovery plants, as well as in the sorting center.

This contract has a cumulated value of 405 million euros over its duration. It concerns the waste treatment of 770,000 inhabitants of the Bordeaux metropolis. It will cover the energy needs of the equivalent of about 34,000 inhabitants in heating and 100,000 inhabitants in electricity.
