Dassault Aviation: successful Falcon 6X maiden flight
(CercleFinance.com) - The brand new Falcon 6X successfully completed its first flight on Wednesday at Bordeaux-Mérignac.
This first flight paves the way for the pre-certification test campaign.
This first flight, which lasted nearly two and a half hours, took place in accordance with the test plan, which aimed to test the handling qualities, the response of engines and the behavior of other onboard systems. The aircraft reached 40,000 ft (approx. 12,200 m) and a cruising speed of Mach 0.80.
The flight marks a new major milestone in the history of Dassault Aviation, especially in the face of the Covid 19 pandemic.
