EssilorLuxottica: sale of shops in Benelux

(CercleFinance.com) - EssilorLuxottica, GrandVision and Optic Retail International Group BENE, entity of MPG Austria (ORIG/MPG), announce an agreement for the acquisition of the 142 EyeWish shops in the Netherlands and 35 GrandOptical shops in Belgium by ORIG/MPG.


This agreement, pursuant to the commitments to Brussels for the acquisition of GrandVision by EssilorLuxottica, is accompanied by the signature of transition agreements to ensure the immediate continuity of the business of the concerned entities.

The finalisation of the transaction between EssilorLuxottica, GrandVision and ORIG/MPG is subject to the approval of the European Commission in accordance with the commitments procedure. It is expected to finalise over the course of the first quarter of 2022.
