Colas: extension of Bangkok International Airport
(CercleFinance.com) - Colas and its Thai partners have won a contract for the construction of 3rd Runway, Taxiway D Extension, and Perimeter Taxiway at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi International airport.
Under the contract, Colas' subsidiary Thanomwongse will perform the work on the ground improvement on a surface area of 800,000 m2, while laying 800,000 tonnes of asphalt pavement and the airfield lighting & control system.
The contract is worth 9,700 million bahts (approximately 280 million euros), of which 52% (approximately 145 million euros) is for Thanomwongse.
The project is expected to start in October 2020, with work lasting for a period of nearly three years (35 months).
