PSA: sells 3.9 million vehicles in 2018

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday PSA group said that it sold 3,880,000 vehicles in 2018, up 6.
76% y-o-y, representing a new record for the group.

In detail, sales in Europe rose 30.6% (17.1% market share), +0.5% in Eurasia and +1.6% in the India-Pacific region. In contrast, they declined in Latin America (-15%), Middle East-Africa (-52.8%) and China-South East Asia (-32.2%).

By brand, 1,740,214 Peugeot vehicles were sold (-17.91%), 1,046,229 Citroën (-0.89%) and 53,265 DS (+0.77%). In addition to the sales of PSA's historical brands, Opel/Vauxhall sales reached 1,038,057 vehicles (PSA took over this company in 2017, with its FY contribution booked for the first time). These sales enabled total group sales to turn from a decline of -12.04% (Peugeot, Citroën and DS brands) to growth of 6.76%.
