Kering: completes acquisition of Maui Jim

(CercleFinance.com) - Kering Eyewear today announced that it holds over 90% of the capital of the iconic US eyewear manufacturer Maui Jim, according to the terms announced on 14 March and after obtaining approval from the competition authorities.


The parent company of Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent said that the acquisition of the remaining shares should be completed by the end of the year and that Maui Jim will be consolidated in its accounts from 1 October 2022.

Maui Jim is the world's largest independent premium eyewear brand and has developed PolarizedPlus2 technology, which protects against intense glare and harmful UV rays while enhancing the colours naturally perceived by the eye.
