Thales: wins contract with French Army

(CercleFinance.com) - The GME (Groupement Momentané d'Entreprises), comprising NSE, Safran Electronics & Defense, Sofema and Thales, has won the MERCURE contract from the SIMMT (Structure intégrée du maintien en condition opérationnelle des matériels terrestres), NSE announced.


Worth up to 300 million euros (excluding VAT) over a seven-year period, this contract will enable the French Ministry of the Armed Forces to meet the challenges of managing the wide variety of equipment needs of its armed forces, and the need to acquire equipment in a responsive and flexible way.

The solution provided by the GME coordinated by NSE fully meets these challenges, by aggregating the strong and recognised expertise of French manufacturers and distributors which are leaders in their sector, the NSE said.
