Thales: completes acquisition of Moog's navigation aid unit

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announced on Monday that it had completed the acquisition of the ground-based navigation aid business of US-based Moog, a deal that it first announced in June.


With this transaction, the French defence and electronics group says it wants to offer both fixed navigation aids, as well as portable technology designed to support emergency air operations and to accompany the changing needs of military mobility.

The integration phase will enable it to strengthen its engineering, industrialisation and technology capabilities in the US.

Moog's ground navigation aid business is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
