Thales: wins contract in Turkey

(CercleFinance.com) - The consortium Eurosam, which includes MBDA and Thales, announced via a press release on Friday evening that it has been chosen by the Turkish authorities with a view to a future military alliance with France and Italy.


A contract for the conceptual design of a future system of missiles between the two Turkish groups Aselsan and Roketsan and Eurosam has been signed by the partners. Expected to last a year and a half, it was concluded during the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Paris.

It also follows a letter of intent, signed between the French, Italian and Turkish Defence Ministers last November.
