Pernod Ricard: 24% fall in 1st half-year net profit
(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard has reported net income, group share (RNPG) of 1.
19 billion euros for the first half of 2024-25, down 24%, as well as profit from recurring operations (ROC) of 1.98 billion, down 2% organically (-7% on a reported basis).
At nearly 6.18 billion euros, half-year sales were down 4% organically (-6% reported), with the spirits group claiming higher volumes and a negative price-mix effect of -6%, mainly due to the market mix.
Operating margin before non-recurring items improved by 65 basis points "thanks to revenue growth management and agility in marketing expenditure, reinforced by key digital programs", as well as efficiency gains and cost discipline.
