Pernod Ricard: new distillery project in Ireland

(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard has announced that its whiskey subsidiary Irish Distillers will invest 250 million euros in the construction of a new distillery in Midleton, Ireland, to meet the growing demand for its products internationally.


The distillery will produce world-renowned brands including Jameson, Powers, Redbreast, Midleton Very Rare, the Spot Whiskeys range, and Method and Madness. It will occupy a 22 hectare site adjacent to the existing distillery.

Subject to planning permission, construction will begin in 2023, with the distillery expected to be operational by 2025. Up to 100 highly skilled jobs will be created in the region once the unit is fully operational.
