Danone: RBC maintains 'outperform' rating

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Royal Bank of Canada reiterated its "outperform" rating on Danone shares, for which the broker is still targeting 70 euros.


In its comments, the Canadian broker points out that the French food group is enjoying growth similar to that of Swiss giant Nestlé, i.e. around 3%.

It points out Danone's recent shift in focus on margins, which could well lead to an improvement in its financial performance.

While it believes that the efforts of Danone's management should eventually pay off, RBC points out that the stock's current discount to Nestlé is unjustified.
