Bouygues: extended partnership with Hoffmann Green

(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues Immobilier, the property development subsidiary of French construction giant Bouygues, announced Thursday that it has decided to extend its partnership with Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies, a producer of decarbonated cements.


Under the terms of the agreement, Bouygues Immobilier will continue to use the innovative clinker-free cement process (a mixture of limestone and clays) developed by Hoffmann Green until December 2027.

In a press release, Bouygues Immobilier explains that the use of Hoffmann cement is one of the levers enabling it to reduce the carbon footprint of its projects and achieve its decarbonization objectives.

Hoffmann has developed a technology based on the modification of cement composition and the creation of a cold manufacturing process, resulting in a carbon footprint divided by five compared to traditional cements.

On the Paris Bourse, Hoffmann shares (-0.3%) reacted little to this announcement on Friday morning, while Bouygues shares remained unchanged overall (-0.1%).
