Total: cancels shares and interim dividend payment

(CercleFinance.com) - Total has said that its board of directors has decided to reduce its share capital by the cancellation of 44,590,699 treasury shares repurchased between 9 February and 11 October, i.
e. 1.66% of the oil group's share capital.

Following this transaction, which will not impact its consolidated accounts, the diluted weighted average number of shares and EPS, the number of shares comprising the group's capital amounts to 2,640,602,007 and the number of voting rights exercisable at General shareholders meetings is 2,770,811,788.

In addition, the board has decided to make, on 10 January 2019, a second interim dividend payment for 2018, of 0.64 euro per share, with shareholders having the choice of receiving payment in new shares at an issue price set at 48.27 euros.
