Carrefour: opens innovative shop in Paris

(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour has announced the inauguration this Wednesday of Flash 10/10, its innovative local test shop, which, developed with the Californian start-up AiFi, aims to offer customers the fastest and most accessible shopping experience.


The innovative Flash 10/10 format (10 seconds to shop and 10 seconds to pay and leave the shop) offers a shopping experience without scanning the product and with near-instantaneous payment without the need to take items out of their bag.

This customer experience is enabled by a combination of 60 HD cameras, nearly 2,000 sensors in connected shelves, an algorithm to interpret the data and a proprietary tablet-based payment system.
