Carrefour: partnership for online sales in Africa

(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour has announced a partnership between its international partners - Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) and CFAO Retail - with Jumia, the leading e-commerce company in Africa, which will reinforce the French retail giant's presence in Africa.


The partnership will enable Carrefour's two partners to market their product ranges via the Jumia Market Place in four African countries - Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and Kenya.

Majid Al Futtaim has 250 stores in the Middle East and Africa, including six in Kenya, while CFAO Retail is present in French-speaking Africa with three stores in Côte d'Ivoire, one in Cameroon and a store set to be opened in Senegal in the first quarter of 2019.
